Harris E. DeLoach, Jr.

Mr. DeLoach was raised in Columbia, S.C., and received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of South Carolina. After practicing law for 13 years, Mr. DeLoach was named Vice President of Administration and General Counsel for Sonoco Products Company in 1986. During his tenure at Sonoco, he served as president, CEO and Chairman of the Board. He has served on numerous boards and received the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award from Coker College. He was inducted into the South Carolina Business Hall of Fame in 2010 and was named Business Person of the Year in 2008 by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. Coker College dedicated the Harris E. and Louise H. DeLoach Center in 2014. Mr. DeLoach said the building reflects “how passionately we believe in the role that education plays in the success of people of this community.”
