Ms. Shaw is president of Micco LLC, a private investment company. She served as Chair of The Duke Endowment’s Board of Trustees from 2012 to 2022. She led the organization through its response to the COVID-19 crisis, as well as through the search for a new president and the construction and opening of its first standalone headquarters in Charlotte. A resolution adopted by the Board as she stepped down from the Chair praised “her business acumen and grace, her perceptive insights and counsel, (and) her genuine concern for others.” Her extensive community involvement includes chairing the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport Commission and The Daniel-Mickel Foundation. She serves as a board member of the Hollingsworth Funds, the International African American Museum, the South Carolina Historical Society, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and the United Way of Greenville County. She is a former board member of the Columbia Funds, Piedmont Natural Gas, MDC and the Duke Energy Advisory Board, and she has been chairman of the Community Foundation of Greenville, the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, the Junior League of Greenville, the Urban League of the Upstate, the YMCA of Greenville, S.C. Independent Colleges and Universities, Inc., the UNC Chapel Hill Arts & Sciences Foundation and the South Carolina ETV Endowment. Mrs. Shaw was inducted into the South Carolina Business Hall of Fame in 2012.
