Pamela Davies

Dr. Davies served as President of Queens University, Charlotte, N.C., from 2002 to 2019. She has distinguished herself as a leader in education, community involvement and business. She was named the 2017 Charlotte Woman of the Year and has received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine and the Order of the Hornet for her contributions to North Carolina, Charlotte and the Queens community. Dr. Davies was the first female chair of the YMCA of Greater Charlotte. She currently serves on the boards of Sonoco Products Company and the Cato Corporation. Upon her election to the Endowment’s Board of Trustees in 2020, then-board Chair Minor Shaw said: “Pamela’s background as a distinguished leader in higher education and strategic planning will add a valuable voice to our work.”
