Mr. Barnet is CEO of the Barnet Development Company and served as a two-term Mayor of Spartanburg, S.C., from 2002 to 2010. st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and with the Adjutant General’s Corps. He serves on the Board of the International African-American Museum of Charleston, and is a former board member of Duke Energy Corporation, Bank of America and the South Carolina Institute of Medicine and Public Health. He has served on the Endowment’s Board of Trustees since 2006.
