Our Commitment

The stories comprising our centennial website draw from people and communities where The Duke Endowment has partnered with grantees since 1924 across North Carolina and South Carolina to inspire and invest in positive change across four program areas: child and family well-being, health care, higher education, and the Methodist rural church. This is a collection of stories curated and shared to celebrate the work and impacts of grantees of The Duke Endowment, providing insight into the continuing fulfillment of James B. Duke’s commitment to, and vision for, the people and communities of both Carolinas that he loved and which remain the center of a continuing Commitment to the Carolinas from The Duke Endowment.
